Guadalupe River Road Retreat Rules:
Pets: We love pets, but we do not allow them on property. This is for the safety of the pet itself, the wildlife on the property, and for the safety of other guests.
Parking and Driving: Stay on roadways and park in designated areas only. The speed limit on property is 5 MPH.
Smoking: No smoking inside (deposit subject to forfeit) and please dispose of cigarette butts in the garbage.
Maximum Occupancy: Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. Please contact us in advance for exceptions. We reserve the right to cancel reservations and evict guests with no refund if this rule is broken.
Day Guests: With advance notification we may allow limited day guests depending on circumstances and how full we are. We do this to ensure the enjoyment of the property for all guests. Any approved day guests may not arrive before 9:00 am and must depart by 10:00 pm. We require the name and number of day guest in advance and may charge a fee per individual day guest. You are responsible for the behavior of your day guests.
Loud Music: We are truly striving for a peaceful retreat for our guests to enjoy both the river and outdoors. As our guest, please be respectful of others on this shared property. Although everyone enjoys music, not everyone may share your tastes so keep it PG for the kids and at a volume that does not disturb other guests. Respectful time is always, and quiet time is 10 pm to 9 am.
Bad Behavior: This is not the place for fighting, loud cursing, or behavior the local sheriff would frown upon! We reserve the right to cancel reservations and evict guests with no refund if they are loud, rude, or rowdy and disturbing other guests.
Shared amenities (i.e. tennis courts, hammocks) please limit your time to 2 hours IF other guests are requesting to use the items. Also, we have multiple fire pits, but all firepits are considered common areas.
Return Items to proper place: If your group is renting multiple houses, or you strike up a friendship with another group, please return items (like wine glasses) to the cabin that they belong to.
NO FIREWORKS: a fire would be devastating to the area- don’t end up on CNN as “that person”
Respect Wildlife: We do have wildlife including foxes, ducks, and resident deer who frequently raise fawns on the property during the season. Please don’t chase them, they can get injured on a fence when panicked. Also, watch your food on decks at night! Area raccoons have been known to pilfer food left on tables outside.
Septic System: Our property runs on septic systems, not public sewers. Please do not flush foreign objects down the toilet. This includes paper towels, diapers, and feminine hygiene products.
Clean up before you go: Please leave our property as you found it. Dispose of all trash, wash the dishes and empty the refrigerator before leaving. Failure to adhere to these rules and broken or lost items can result in the loss of some or all of your security deposit.
