Directions to Guadalupe River Road Retreat

From San Antonio:

  1. Go North on I-35 towards New Braunfels

  2. Take Exit 184 (Rueckle Road) and turn left

  3. Stay on Loop 337/Rueckle Road and follow for 5.3 miles.

  4. Turn Left at the stop light for River Road.  7.4 Miles to go!

    Keep on River Road and turn right at the River Road Ice House.
    (You are now in the canyon and cell service will be spotty.  You can set your phone to accept wi-fi calling under cellular upon connecting to wi-fi at the retreat.)

  5. We will be on your right just past Gypsy River Resort.
    If you reach the US flag over your head, you have just barely passed the entrance gate.     Electric gate code will be given to you by email prior to your arrival.

From Austin:

  1. Go South on I-35 towards New Braunfels

  2. Take Exit 190B (Loop337/46) and turn right.

  3. Go approximately 3 miles to River Road exit.

  4. Turn right at the stop light at River Road.   7.4 Miles to go! 

    Keep on River Road and turn right at the River Road Ice House.
    (You are now in the canyon and cell service will be spotty.  You can set your phone to accept wi-fi calling under cellular upon connecting to wi-fi at the retreat.) We will be on your right just past Gypsy River Resort.

There is a shorter way through Gruene to River Road that Google will show as a few minutes faster, but it is slightly confusing.

From Gruene (9. 3 miles):

  1. From Gruene Hall head NW on Gruene Rd. toward Hunter Rd (cross the river) .4 mile

  2. Turn right on Ervendberg Ave and follow for .7 mile (under the train track)

  3. Turn left on Edwards Blvd and follow for 1.2 miles (be careful, there are tons of deer that hang out by the road!)

  4. Turn right at River Road      7 Miles to go!
