Welcome to the Guadalupe River Road Retreat! We have four vacation cabins sharing six beautiful acres of Guadalupe River frontage, where guests are free to wander the park like grounds under the shade of majestic oaks, pecans and cypress trees. Enjoy fantastic views of the river from cabin decks, swings, or picnic tables, take a nap in a hammock, relax and cook smores over one of our firepits, or play tennis on our newly resurfaced court. And of course, spend time in and on the river.
Our retreat differs from many of the vacation rental options on the river. We cater to families, couples, and small groups who want a tranquil environment and are looking for something different than the typical party cabin or crowded campground. We limit group sizes to what our cabins can comfortably accommodate, and we enforce our property rules regarding day guests, loud music, and disorderly conduct. If you are looking for an oasis on the river, a place where you can have fun but also relax in comfort, peace, and privacy, Guadalupe River Road Retreat is the place for you.
Each of our cabins have well equipped kitchens and Weber gas grills for cooking outside. We provide quality linens, bath towels, toiletries and a variety of amenities. All cabins have WIFI and cable.
We are located about halfway between historic Gruene and Canyon Lake, with easy access to a number of river outfitters for tube and raft rentals, and we are only a short drive to the restaurants, shops and entertainment of Gruene, New Braunfels, and Sattler.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Texas Star Cabin
Our charming Texas Star Cabin sleeps four with one queen bedroom and a separate bedroom with two twin beds. From the deck there is a fantastic view of the river, overlooking a small creek and waterfall feeding into the Guadalupe.
Southwestern Cabin
Our southwestern themed cabin is perfect for a family of up to five, with a king bedroom and a sleeping porch with a double bed and one twin bed. A massive deck shaded by pecan trees looks out over the river.
Honeymoon Cabin
Our Honeymoon cabin is perfect for couples looking for a relaxing getaway. This studio style cabin has a queen bed and cozy sitting area. A large deck looks out over a view of the river and two massive Cyprus trees, and hammocks are close by if you want to take a midafternoon nap in the shade of a small pecan grove.
Bluebird Cabin
Our largest cabin can sleep up to six comfortably. This fun and eclectic cabin has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with a full/twin bunk combo. It has two bathrooms and two sitting areas. Perfect for families with easy access to the river.
