The Guadalupe River Road Retreat is located between the 2nd and 3rd crossing, halfway between Gruene and Sattler. We are just north of Koozies and south of Mountain Breeze campground. If you are familiar with the area, our property is located where the large U.S. Flag hangs over the center of River Road.
Guests in our cabins have the freedom to wander the 6 park like acres under the shade of majestic oaks, pecans and cyprus trees. You can enjoy fantastic views of the Guadalupe river from cabin decks and bench swings, take a nap in a hammock, or play tennis day or night on our newly resurfaced tennis court, and of course spend time in and on the river!
The river is accessible from two areas, a concrete dock with steps down, or via natural path down to a sitting area under the canopy of two massive cyprus trees. Across the river from the property is a unique limestone expanse carved by the river where people frequently enjoy hanging out, playing in the water, and watching the toobers float by.
This oasis on the Guadalupe River caters to families and couples who want to enjoy the river in a tranquil environment and escape the rowdy crowds and party cabins. If you want a place where you can have fun, but also relax in comfort, peace, and privacy, our retreat will not disappoint!
